Tasmiyah Hoosen is the Company Director as well as the Head Optometrist and Contact Lens Practitioner. She graduated from the University of KwaZulu Natal, Westville Campus with an Honours Degree in Bachelor of Optometry.

Her extensive experience stems across the private and public sector, as well as, having the opportunity to work alongside some of Durban's finest ophthalmologists. She displays a keen interest in paediatric and low vision, including specialist contact lens fitting for patients with corneal irregularities.

Furthermore, there are various types of eye muscle therapy plans that can be provided to relieve headaches and eye strain in individuals who typically have perfect vision.

Among other optometry sub-specialities, she also has an exceptional background knowledge of diagnosing and managing ocular disease, particularly in cases of longstanding diabetes or hypertension.

Her vision is to change the way the world sees optometry - it is more than just "better one or two?" With the proper training and experience, optometrists are regarded as primary health care providers as ocular disease is often diagnosed for the first time during a regular eye test.
